A lot has happened in the world and at First Christian Church since relaunching Facebook last month. It has been a vital and important time, to not only share pertinent and valued resources that are helpful in these moments, but to also share our joys and excitement about the future. First Christian’s Facebook page has been a blend of just that. Our page has helped keep others up to date on COVID-19 and resources that may be helpful to our community and family at First Christian during this time. We’ve also celebrated the Cool Congregation Runner Up Award and our valued musicians. As well as live streamed Rev. Bethany Meier’s sermon and FCC’s congregational meeting. All which helped us navigate large obstacles of safety and health, while still allowing for us all to engage and hire Rev. Bethan Meier! The team work that went into it all was wonderful.
As far as numbers go, FCC’s Facebook page has had 13 new followers, 236 page views, and 1,055 post engagements, which is reactions, comments, shares, and clicks (365 of those were from the post of our calling of a new pastor). In looking back at the page’s history I believe this is the most attention it has received to date. All this means that through our Facebook page we have been able to navigate keeping everyone up to date and involved in valued decisions, while also sharing with the greater community wonderful things that are, and have, taken place within our family at First Christian. I look forward to seeing the impact FCC’s Facebook page can continue to make in the future!
