I offer thanks to the numerous members of the congregation that are working behind the scenes to compile the Congregational Profile. This document will become the “face” of FCC and will serve to educate candidates for settled minister about our values, history, finances, etc. The elders are wrapping up visits to assist members with completion of individual questionnaires. If you get a call from an elder, please return that call so we can wrap up this part of the process. I’ve included a graphic that illustrates our path from Rev. Linda’s retirement to the welcoming of a settled minister. If you ever have a question about where we are on this journey please reach out to me or another member of the board of directors.
Rev. Donna will be with us until our settled pastor arrives. She is working behind the scenes to organize and structure information to make it easier for the settled minister to transition to our community and our congregation. In order for her to successfully gather this information, she needs to be included and aware of all that we do. Please “carbon copy” her on emails that affect the church so she can glean information that will help the settled minister succeed.
I hope you enjoy another fall season in southern New Mexico. It is a glorious time to get out and see the desert in all its beauty.
